Foods sprouts 5% on debut

Foods shares gained 5 percent on their first day of trading, closing
at R1.05 on the JSE's AltX board yesterday. This valued the fruit
juice and mushroom producer at R132.8 million. The local firm, which
harvests more than 48 tons of mushrooms a week, expects net profit
to rise 62 percent to R18.1 million next year. - Bloomberg, London
